Engineering Senior Manager

Lead all engineering operations for a Michelin facility producing rubber tracks for construction, military, and snow-moving vehicles (OEM market). Responsible for all engineering KPIs, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and a multi-disciplinary maintenance team. Achieved highest Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) scores for 5 consecutive years in Michelin Plants wise Annual RCM Audit — ranked first among all Michelin plants in Sri Lanka in the audit category. Head of Operations & Maintenance

Full P&L responsibility for all operations of a 200,000 sq ft mixed-use development from pre-opening HOTO phase through live mall operations. Led 150+ staff across Engineering, Custodial, Security, Car Park, Fire & Life Safety, Customer Care, and Horticulture. - Delivered end-to-end HOTO of Colombo City Centre Mall — snag clearance, O&M manual verification, asset listing in CMMS, PM planning, and all T&C activities. Planned and managed annual CAPEX/OPEX budgets; prepared monthly and annual management reports for Board of Directors. Established all operational SOPs, Emergency Response Procedures, Tenant HOTO checklists, and Mall Guide documentation. Managed contractor validation, selection, and SLA governance for 10+ third-party maintenance and service providers. Managing over 100+ Assets, planned maintenance and work order management Oversaw annual operations budget of LKR 150M+, covering engineering, custodial, security, and all outsourced services. Projects & Fitout Manager

Managed full project lifecycle for 15+ fitout and infrastructure projects at Abu Dhabi International Airport — planning, scope definition, contractor procurement, quality supervision, and handover. Prepared technical specifications, drawings, and RFQs; evaluated proposals and awarded contracts to qualified vendors. Ensured 100% compliance with Airport Safety Department regulations across all active project sites. Built and mentored a team of 3 support engineers; conducted performance reviews and developed individual training plans aligned with airport operational requirements.

Maintenance Engineer — Special Systems Division

Managed Special Systems Division at Hamad International Airport (120,000+ m2), overseeing 50+ technicians to maintain critical airport infrastructure with minimum turnaround time. Systems maintained: LV power distribution, VFDs (Altivar 61), Fire Alarm (EST), VESDA/FM200, PA system, Access Control/CCTV, BMS, Power Monitoring, Lutron lighting control, UPS (Emerson/GE/ETN), copper & fibre backbone. Led HOTO (Handover/Takeover) of North Node — prepared snag lists, verified O&M manuals and as- built drawings, and created full asset register in Oracle ERP. Developed and implemented 30+ SOPs, safety procedures, and method statements for the Special Systems Division, forming the baseline O&M documentation for North Node handover. Managed preventive maintenance scheduling and corrective maintenance workflows via Oracle ERP for 400+ registered assets, consistently achieving SLA compliance and minimizing passenger-impacting downtime.

Head of Facility Management Division

Managed hard and soft FM services, security, and office support for a 9-site portfolio totaling over 1.2M sq ft, including Citi Bank (via ISS India), World Food Program offices, Dutch Hospital Shopping Complex, Race Course Mall, and Sethsiripaya Stage II (1M sq ft Ministry Complex).Led HOTO of Sethsiripaya Stage II — largest government facility complex in Sri Lanka. Implemented preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance schedules across all 9 sites, improving first-time fix rates and reducing reactive call-out frequency by an estimated 30%. Managed UPS system installation and washroom refurbishment projects at Citi Bank Colombo.

Electrical Engineer — Naval Officer (rising to Commander)

15-year career progressing from junior Electrical Engineer to Command Electrical Officer, responsible for Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, and Weapons maintenance across ships and shore facilities in a region. Led a workforce of 300+ across multiple specialist workshops. Designed, installed, and commissioned three 11kV HT substations at Trincomalee Naval Base, providing reliable power to critical operational facilities.
